Boronia Personal Trainer Reveals Why You Need a Risky Goal

This is a blog post by Boronia personal training expert, Grant Lofthouse.

Having a goal is risky because it requires us to put yourself out there and take a chance.

You have to be willing to face potential failure and disappointment in order to achieve something great.
When you set a goal, you are essentially making a promise to yourself.

You are committing to putting in the hard work and dedication necessary to reach your desired outcome. This means that you’re putting your reputation, ego, and even relationships on the line.

If you fail to achieve your goal, it can be devastating. You may feel like a failure, like you are not good enough, or like you are not capable of achieving your dreams. This can lead to feelings of shame, self-doubt, and even depression.

Furthermore, pursuing a goal often requires you to take risks. You have to leave your comfort zone, step outside of your usual routines, and try new things. This can be scary, especially if you are not used to taking risks. You may be afraid of failure, rejection, or even physical harm.

However, despite the risks, having a goal can also be incredibly rewarding.

When you achieve your goal, you feel a sense of accomplishment and pride. You will also gain a sense of confidence and self-esteem, knowing that you were able to overcome obstacles and reach the desired outcome.

Imagine how you will feel when you step on those scales and lose that 5 kilos, or the feeling when you finally lockout that 100 kilo deadlift.

Additionally, pursuing a goal can help you to grow and develop as individuals.

It can push you out of our comfort zone and challenge you to learn new skills, try new things, and expand your horizons. This can lead to personal growth and fulfillment, as well as increased happiness and satisfaction with life.

Imagine how much taller you will walk when you can finally fit into that dress you’ve had in the closet for all those months.

Whatever your goal may be – losing 5 kilos, gaining 5 kilos, hitting that 100 kilo deadlift… you must embrace the risk because quite frankly there is no other option.

Hope this resonates with you.
