Emma Reveals How She Lost 8 Kilos in 6 Weeks

Grant:   Hey! What’s up? Grant Lofthouse here. Today, I have Emma. Emma is the winner from last year’s contest that we ran.

It was a 6-week contest, and basically we had the best transformation for both male and female win a prize, and the prize was simply $500.

The reason why I am interviewing Emma is because I want to just dig into a little more psychological stuff behind as to why she went so well?

Because before that, she was in sort of a plateau range, and all of a sudden this program that we did really sparked out the next step for her.

So Emma, first off, what do you think it was that was the thing that triggered the spark to spark this new result that you had since you were experiencing sort of a plateau?

Emma:  It was the challenge of it.

We had the team that was doing it with us – everybody involved.

We kind of had a little challenge between each other as well which helped with it.

The prize money obviously, but also it just worked – like everything.

The days that you were running the personal training sessions, and the nutrition plan.

It just all worked with me, and the personal training obviously just helped and got me out of that bump.

Grant:   Awesome.  People are probably wondering what were you doing in terms of training.  Whether it be here or away from the gym? What were you doing and how much per week?  And all that sort of stuff…

Emma:  We were doing the 4 personal training sessions per week with you, and then I was doing an extra day, and a little bit on a Sunday as well outside of class.

Me and one of the other girls that was doing the challenge, we would go down to one of the parks.

We had little challenges that Grant had outside of class.  Go a kettlebell off him, and we were doing some of the kettlebell challenges, and skipping challenges with it on our off days.

Grant:   At the end of the day, you would easily say that the reason why you had this success is because you just simply followed the program?

Emma:  Yes.

Grant:   The program that we gave you, at the end of the day, was simply train 4 times a week here at Cardio Haters Training.

Do something else outside, which again I told you what to do, and then simply follow the nutrition program that I gave you.

Emma:  Yes, exactly.  Everything was laid out, so it was easy.

Grant:   Again, in that 6 weeks, what were the results that you got if you can remember?

Emma:  I dropped 6-8 Kg – somewhere around there.

It was more so my clothes that I have seen the difference in – it was tone and losing a couple dress sizes as well.

I could definitely tell the difference with the weight loss.

Grant:   What was it about the challenge that you enjoyed?

Because obviously for me, some people like you know they will start, and then 3 weeks in they will simply just give up….

What was it for you that helped you stay consistent on this challenge?

Emma:  I was seeing results.

Easily seeing the results, but also feeling stronger, and it was making everything easier.

As we went along – at the start it was a bit of a shell-shock to get myself into the training for the 5 or so days that I was doing that.

Then, it just got easy, and because of the nutrition it made you feel really good anyway.

You are more alive and more awake, and everything else followed.

Grant:   The last thing, is what did you end up spending your money on?

Emma:  A surfboard.

Grant:   So for $500 you bought yourself a surfboard?

Emma:  Yes.
